sky design provided design services to Children’s Museum of Atlanta for a new Exterior Identity Sign and Donor Wall.

The goal for the project was to twofold; to increase visibility of the Museum to any potential visitors in Centennial Olympic Park and offer unique recognition to donors in the public lobby.

The identification sign was designed with forms wrapping around the logo as an interpretation of “arms hugging a child”. The geometry of the sign was also important to offer the best line of sight to advertise the museum to potential patrons visiting Centennial Park.  Illumination effects were specified to maximize legibility of the sign whether daylight or night.  The Donor wall utilized the “gear” symbology as part of Children’s Museum of Atlanta brand to communicate the idea that children’s imaginations are set free when visiting the museum.  Donor gifts are recognized based on the size of each gear.
