Our design contributions always serve to enliven a space, but every so often we get to create an installation that is actually hands-on and interactive, which really livens things up! For 250 Williams, a nine-story office building in downtown Atlanta, sky design helped welcome folks in the reinvented space with murals, new wayfinding and large-scale suspended sculptures, but it was the interactive flip-disc scope that really inspired us! A camera and software cause discs that are silver on one side and bronze-colored on the other to flip as visitors pass by (or pose), to replay each person’s movements. The playfulness of this installation made it as fun to design as it is to interact with!
